What was your favorite part of this year? This could be about an assignment, a teacher, or a school experience.

Even though we couldn't be together this year, what is your silver lining of 8th grade?(Shout out to a friend, family, experience, or teacher during distance learning). 

My favorite part of this year would probably be the art projects I've done in a few classes because it's one of things I like doing and I just love to express my creativity and passion. Plus one of the reasons why I am in PAVA.

My silver lining of 8th grade would probably be my friends because we still keep in touch and talk time to time. They made me feel happy and feel like we're talking at school (even though we're not on campus haha.)

In English, we learned all about different types of writing, such as narrative and informative. We read a novel called "The Giver" by Lois Lowry and many news articles, some fake and some reliable.

I chose the real or fake news assignment because it's one of the assignments that I like and I love to research.

My favorite assignment was learning about the Solar System's planets and stars.<br/>

I chose the Solar System Slides assignment because I like learning about the planets and I find them interesting.

In Science we have been learning about Astronomy and Non-contact forces! Students have studied the solar system, analyzed the planets, and created models of the solar system and Earth-sun-moon system.

In 8th grade math, students have worked with Number Systems, Expressions and Equations, and Functions, and will be diving in to Pythagorean Theorem, Geometry and Probability and Statistics for the remainder of the year.

My favorite assignment is learning about slope intercept forms and doing a project on it.

I chose the Quadratic Functions Project because it was pretty fun to match up the parabolas to the images.

My favorite moment in History was the Civil War, between Slavery and with Abraham Lincoln.

In PE class, it's very intense. We learn about sports such as baseball/softball, basketball, etc. And we workouts like kickboxing, weights, and yoga.

My favorite assignment is the fitness charts because it keeps track of my exercises.

I chose the how to shoot a basketball assignment because it was actually fun to record myself and demonstrate how to shoot a ball.

I chose my costume design project because it's one of my favorite projects to work on.

I chose the clothing folds sketches because I got to learn and know where certain places are having the folds.
