What was your favorite part of this year? This could be about an assignment, a teacher, or a school experience.

Even though we couldn't be together this year, what is your silver lining of 8th grade?(Shout out to a friend, family, experience, or teacher during distance learning). 

My favorite part of this year was learning new things in each class was a different experience. This year in the pandemic was crazy and being able to experience it was crazy from going off for 2 weeks and being excited for it to a year later is crazy and life Learning, Seeing new things every teacher helping me succeed all the way to one month from graduating.

My favorite experience from 8th grade is being able to spend more time with my family. Every time I did good in school my parents would be so proud of me and it makes me happy to see them happy for me to achieve. Being able to be myself and being able to see my friends and hang out with them. Getting my fish Lee Flynn Finn and cuddling with my dogs and having time for my baby cousins Bellami and Christopher has been amazing. Every A I get is for my parents they are my role models and I love them with all my heart and soon I'll Graduate from 8th grade and my family will be happy and proud of me. :)

In English, we learned all about different types of writing, such as narrative and informative. We read a novel called "The Giver" by Lois Lowry and many news articles, some fake and some reliable.

This is my favorite assignment from Science because I love to learn about the Solar system and it's fun to know knew things I didn't know before.

In Science we have been learning about Astronomy and Non-contact forces! Students have studied the solar system, analyzed the planets, and created models of the solar system and Earth-sun-moon system.

I choose the Boba assignment because I wanted to know if the article was true or not because I like to get Boba with my family every once and a while and it wouldn't be an option if there isn't Boba anymore.

In 8th grade math, students have worked with Number Systems, Expressions and Equations, and Functions, and will be diving in to Pythagorean Theorem, Geometry and Probability and Statistics for the remainder of the year.

This project was fun to do and was interesting to see how different angles are in our daily lives.

About the class... Ms. Raia class is super fun we are always doing new activities for holidays or just on a normal day. Ms. Raia has made online learning fun and interesting such as Workout spinners and videos.
