What was your favorite part of this year? This could be about an assignment, a teacher, or a school experience.

Even though we couldn't be together this year, what is your silver lining of 8th grade?(Shout out to a friend, family, experience, or teacher during distance learning). 

I would say my favorite part of this year was the homeroom activities they were all really fun but beside that I would say reading the giver and the movie I think it was really good and I really liked reading it.

I feel like the silver lining was homeroom. This is because before homeroom was never really exciting we just did stuff before schools like read then start but for a lot of this year we actually did stuff and talked it was probably one of my favorite things this school year

In English, we learned all about different types of writing, such as narrative and informative. We read a novel called "The Giver" by Lois Lowry and many news articles, some fake and some reliable.

This was the test we took it was. We got to pick what topic we wanted and I chose binge watching

My favorite project was the solar system slides It was really fun and We got to be creative and decorate it how we wanted to

In Science we have been learning about Astronomy and Non-contact forces! Students have studied the solar system, analyzed the planets, and created models of the solar system and Earth-sun-moon system.

In 8th grade math, students have worked with Number Systems, Expressions and Equations, and Functions, and will be diving in to Pythagorean Theorem, Geometry and Probability and Statistics for the remainder of the year.

This was our Quadratic Functions project we got to look up pictures with these arcs and then write the equations for them

My favorite history person was Harriet Tubman she went back and forth to save as many slaves as possible which is very amazing

About the class we do workout and learn about different sports such as basketball softball and volleyball.

One assignment I really enjoyed was our fractured fairytales

A fractured fairytale is a fractures fairytale with a twist like the time era or the ending of the story for me I chose to add a twist on snow white.
