What was your favorite part of this year? This could be about an assignment, a teacher, or a school experience.

Even though we couldn't be together this year, what is your silver lining of 8th grade?(Shout out to a friend, family, experience, or teacher during distance learning). 

My favorite part of this year was learning new things and having better grades. I'm also excited for graduation this year. But my favorite assignments was in green architecture. I learned a lot on how to create stuff on sketch up.I learned that a lot of architects use it before building something for a visual representation. I think its super cool that people can make so many cool structures/ designs on a building.

Even though we aren't in school my parents and teachers helped me through this year. They motivated me not to give up and do my work.

In English, we learned all about different types of writing, such as narrative and informative. We read a novel called "The Giver" by Lois Lowry and many news articles, some fake and some reliable.

For this assignment we had to pick and read a article and write comments about it. I chose the Boba article.

1 sentence description of the assignment and why you chose it.

In Science we have been learning about Astronomy and Non-contact forces! Students have studied the solar system, analyzed the planets, and created models of the solar system and Earth-sun-moon system.

In 8th grade math, students have worked with Linear equations,absolute value functions,radical and rational exponents, exponents, exponential functions,sequences, scatter plot and lines of fit,systems of equations, rational exponents,Growth/decay, solving Quadratic equations, factoring polynomials for the remainder of the year.

I chose this assignment because it was fun way to show important examples and steps about product of Binomials. We made a origami t shirt out of paper then colored it.
