What was your favorite part of this year? This could be about an assignment, a teacher, or a school experience.

Even though we couldn't be together this year, what is your silver lining of 8th grade?(Shout out to a friend, family, experience, or teacher during distance learning). 

Spending more time with my family has been one of my favorite aspects of this year. Being at home has allowed me to get to know my family better and spend more time with them.

During quarantine, I have become grateful for the fact that I have house to live in, my friends and family , and an education. I have learned to appreciate the little things in life and to cherish all the good moments.

In English, we learned all about different types of writing, such as narrative and informative. We read a novel called "The Giver" by Lois Lowry and many news articles, some fake and some reliable.

I determined if this news source was reliable or fake. I chose the article about Fortnite and Batman because I grew up with a lot of boys in my family and basically these two topics are what they talk about.

Learning about the planets was my favorite assignment. I enjoyed it because I learned new things about the planets that I didn't know before.

In Science we have been learning about Astronomy and Non-contact forces! Students have studied the solar system, analyzed the planets, and created models of the solar system and Earth-sun-moon system.

In 8th grade math, students have worked with Number Systems, Expressions and Equations, and Functions, and will be diving in to Pythagorean Theorem, Geometry and Probability and Statistics for the remainder of the year.

I liked this assignment because it was so fun to make and it helped be understand the lesson more.

We learned about a variety of physical activities in P.E., including sports and exercise routines. We also studied how the body functions and does not work through physical activity.

My favorite assignment was Football. I liked this because almost all the boys in my family played football and they would make me practice with them. So this reminded me of them.

One of my favorite assignment was learning places around the world. I like it because it cool to see how other places say things different.
