A Message From Our Cordinator
Message from our Coordinator
our students and teachers are inspiring. when i see A student's assignment this year, I think of all the work that has gone into making that one snapshot of learning possible. the level of planning the teacher has gone through as well as the amount of focus and commitment the student demonstrated by completing the work on their own at home. this year has been a challenge for everyone, but Pava's effort to continue to bring meaningful, rigorous learning during distance learning has stayed strong. nevertheless, We look forward to the time when we can see all of our students in person and get to know them in the school setting. please enjoy this look at your child's learning. I look forward to meeting, talking, and laughing with all of you when we return to in-person learning.

My favorite assignment...

Things I learned and did this year are annotating and going deeper into the meaning of books, and just understanding their concept. We also learned how to write from a different person's point of view. Over all it was fun.

1-2 sentences of why you chose this assignment
This is my favorite assignment because it made me think harder and deeper than I have thought in a while. It also was just so fun to go over, and get deeper into the poem, and express ourselves.

Math
The things I learned this year varied from 7th-grade and 8th-grade math, and we learned roots, powers, more in fractions.
This was my favorite assignment in math because it was so fun and cool to learn. It was very different from what we had learned, and I enjoyed taking up the challenge.

Science With Mr. Herrera!

I learned so many things this year. We learned how to count atoms, and solve scientific equations. We learned the difference between chemical and physical changes. We learned about our health. We also learned how to prevent teen pregnancies, and about the periodic table. We looked more into our bodies and dived deeper into puberty. We are starting to learn about climate change, and how it affects us. We are also learning how to prevent climate change in many ways. Everything was so fun to learn, and it was explained so well. Chemistry and health were very interesting.
This was my favorite assignment because i really enjoyed counting attoms, and just chemistry itself. I felt cool learning something so complex and different.

This is my favorite assignemnt because it helped me get very creative, and it was so fun to do. I loved how it represented the culture in just a single drawing.
