pava parents,
our students and teachers are inspiring. when i see A student's assignment this year, I think of all the work that has gone into making that one snapshot of learning possible. the level of planning the teacher has gone through as well as the amount of focus and commitment the student demonstrated by completing the work on their own at home. this year has been a challenge for everyone, but Pava's effort to continue to bring meaningful, rigorous learning during distance learning has stayed strong. nevertheless, We look forward to the time when we can see all of our students in person and get to know them in the school setting. please enjoy this look at your child's learning. I look forward to meeting, talking, and laughing with all of you when we return to in-person learning.

We have been learning about world history, religion, and geography this year.
My favorite assignment...
I really enjoyed being able to use my watercolors on a project.
My favorite assignment...
with Mr.Herrera
This was the assignment I had the most joy doing it. It was fun to create a background story around it and it was really fun for me to edit the photo. We had to create a super hero based off of a periodic element
Science
with Mr.Herrera
From August to september we talked about nutrition and healthy eating. In October we finished nutrition, then we talked about body systems, and then we talked about substance abuse of alcohol, drugs, and coffee. Then in November-December we started human development, LGBTQ+, friendships and relationships, abuse, and unplanned pregnancy. In January we finished unplanned pregnancy then we went onto teen pregnancy, STIs and HIV. Then in February we started talking about mater and it's properties. In March we learned about elements, the structure of mater, the different types of matter, pure vs. mixture, composition vs. structure, molecules, physical vs. chemical, counting atoms, and chemical equations.
