PHMS Open House 2021 8th Grade HASA(Student LED). 

This is an assignment that I am proud of. I am proud of this assignment because I was happy with how it turned out. I'm also proud of this assignment because I was happy with the grade I received.

This is an assignment I improved on. I improved on this assignment because I think it helped me to improve in my free hand drawing. Along with that, I learned from this assignment that I when drawing, I should make things larger so that they stand out. For example, after this assignment I learned that making the title larger could make it pop more.

This is one of my favorite assignments. I really enjoyed this assignment because I got to use different things to make my name. I was very happy that I got to base the objects off of one of many shows I enjoy. I liked how I was able to use different things to represent multiple characters in this. 

Seasons model

I improved on this assignment because on this particular seasons model, I did not receive full credit. Although, later on this assignment helped me to improve and fix my mistakes to earn full credit on the next models.

Polar Night

I am proud of this assignment because I was very happy with my grade that I received. I was glad to see a comment from Mr. H saying that my explanation was good. This made me feel good that I am improving on my explanations.

Period 2 Quickwrite

The quickwrites are my favorite assignments. We do these every morning, in the beginning of class as a warm up and continue some more during class. I like these because I feel like they are great to warm up and pretty easy to use as well. I really like doing the mystery image in the beginning of class.

Elisa Lam Biography

The Biography.com assignment was my favorite assignments because I was able to choose my own person of interest. I had a lot of fun researching about her and creating these slides. It was also very fun to learn some new facts about Elisa Lam. I also think her case was very interesting and has many different opinions about what actually happened to her. &lt;-----

I am also proud of my Philip Vera Cruz Slides about his life and Accomplishments. I was very happy with how it turned out and had fun decorating it. I was also pleased with the grade I received. ---&gt;

Ethos, Pathos, and Logos Slides

An assignment I improved on was my Persuasive Techniques. I felt that this assignment helped me to improve because making these slides helped me to get a better understand of the three rhetorical appeal; ethos, pathos, and logos. This assignment gave me more practice of using all three appeal and helped me to continue doing better on other similar assignments. 

Hero Essay

Philip Vera Cruz

&lt;----- An assignment I'm proud of is my Hero essay. I am proud of this because I liked how it turned out and was proud that my work paid off to get a good grade in the end. 

MANIFEST DESTINY Worksheet 

I am proud of this assignment because I worked pretty hard to complete it and in the end it paid off. Even though it took some time, I was still glad that I kept going.

Gold Rush

An assignment I think I improved on is the Gold rush assignment. I feel like I improved because at first it was pretty difficult, but as I continued to work on it, it got easier and I had a better understanding. 

Martin Luther King

The Martin Luther King Jr assignment was my favorite because I liked that I got to learn more about him. While completing this assignment I got some new knowledge about MLK and his life as well as what he accomplished.

I am proud of being able to ... I am proud of being able to complete assignments on time without needing someone to help me. I am also proud of how I've maintained my grade in math (What can you do now in math you were not able to do before.) I can now do my work pretty well without help. Before, I struggled during math and needed some extra help completing work but now I feel a lot better.

One way I have improved as a student is ... I've been getting better at time management and getting my work turned in on time.
