Algorithms, Programming, Coding, and Physical Computing

Our historical journey covered the following:

One of the more recent assignments we were working on in Coding Class is a Google Drawing assignment. We had to make a Gingerbread house with the Polyline.

There is one assignment that really sticks out in my grade for showing improvement, one I'm most proud of, and being my favorite goes to the Dance Party. This is a Code.org assignment that requires you to code your own dance party with these Command Blocks. I made the most detailed dance party, and it became the example for her classes on what she was looking for. I went above and beyond with this assignment, and I was very proud on how it came out. For me this is hands down wins all 3 categories for these assignment's. 

One of my favorite assignments was the Seasons Model. Because I always enjoy making models, and I get it as homework to explain how seasons work.

One thing I've improved on is in the Quickwrites we do every class session. Its helped me to get better at explaining and combining evidence for a claim. All while learning science.

One assignment I am very proud of is my Seasons Model. I am proud of how it came out, and proud that I was able to show my teacher I learned a thing or two about seasons.

What we are learning right now is about how Seasons Work. We were learning the science behind seasons, and how sunlight affects the temperature and season of the earth.

The assignments I am most proud of are the Chapter Tests. I have to remember everything we learned for every module, and I pass them. There's nothing better than passing a hard test.

An assignment that I showed improvement in is the Juggling Demonstration. I started off dropping the balls instantly, but I improved my focus and my juggling. I still need some work, but I improved from where I started.

When we began the semester, Ms. Llamas wanted to know us better. So we made these All About Me documents so she can know us better.

What Have We Been Doing In Class???

The Assignment I am most proud of is My Hero Essay. This is one of the hardest assignments I've overcome, and helped to show me how much better I've gotten at writing.

An assignment I've shown improvement on are my Journal Entries. Every week I improve I a certain area in my writing, and every week I improve.

My favorite assignment would have to go to Journal Entries. You can't hate these assignments, I love them!!! I get to have fun reading, and I get a grade on how much fun I have reading!!!! There is no better assignment than that.

We have been looking at Graffiti, its been an example for us to practice writing Argumentative Essay. We would practice our arguments essays with debating whether Graffiti is art or vandalism.

The assingment I am most proud of is the Unit Exam Test I took. It was a big test, going over everything we learned. I worked hard and remembered it all, and got full credit in the hardest test in the class.

One assignment that has showed improvement in my knowledge of history would have to be in the Jacksonian Democracy. I had to fill in these details I would have to remember from the history book, so that way our teacher knows we remember what we learned.

In class we have been learning about the Civil War that happen way back when. Were learning about the facts, reasons and causes of the war.

My favorite history assignment will have to go to the Quizzes we do on every chapter. Their simple and easy, if you payed attention and get it done, that's a A for every quiz.

I am proud of being able to Solving System to Equations. They looked very hard, and require lots of focus to get it right. I thought at first I couldn't do that, but I am proud to know that I CAN do it.

Fall Semester: COMBINING LIKE TERMS

Spring Semester: SLOPE

What we have been learning in class is about Solving Systems to Equations by Substitution. After we finish the 3.8 Homework on the subject, we are taking a test on that subject to see how much we know.

One way I have improved as a student is by learning to ask more questions. I used to never ask questions because I thought I should know, but now I know its okay to ask questions, especially when I REALLY need it answered.
