English
With Ms. Wagener
In English, we learned all about different types of writing, such as argument and creative. We read a short story called "The Hitchhiker" by Lucille Fletcher and a novel called Percy Jackson and the Olympians, the Lightning Thief by Rick Riordan.
My favorite assignment is the Instagram Story
The Instagram Story is an assignment we have to write a whole story by using Instagram posts. I chose this assignment because it was the most fun assignment to me for how we were able to write a whole story.

My favorite assignment Draw a Cell
We had to draw an accurate image of a cell to make sure we understand how a cell works and looks.
In Science, we've learned about natural systems, living systems, cells, body systems, and much more.
Math
With Ms. Jenkins
My favorite assignment is the Black Mathematics.
Math topics include the following: GCF/LCM, rates and proportions, integers, expressions and equations, and statistics. If time allows, we get into basic geometry. We also do a handful of hands-on projects throughout the year.
For this assignment we had to write about a famous black mathematics, and this shown me how important math can be.

About the class...In History, we are studying Ancient Civilizations. We have studied ancient Egypt, Israel and Greece. We are learning about different cultures by learning about their history, music, dance, art, and literature.
We learned about the Greek gods and goddesses and have done slide presentations.
We learned about the Greek gods and goddesses and have done slide presentations.
My favorite assignment is the Greek God/Goddesses Report.
For this assignment we had to write about any Greek god, and I chose this project cause I like studying about the Greek gods.

Ever curious about how choreographers get their inspiration? Well, you are in luck because currently we are learning about the world of Modern Dance and how using Pantomimes and gestures (real life movements) can be inspired into creating realistic dances. Who would have ever thought I can turn something as simple as brushing my teeth into a dance!?!
My favorite assignment is the Dace Styled Pantomime.
This assignment was to write a story about anything and express it in a dance, and this was the most fun and creative projects we done so that's why I chose it.
