Where the Smoke Goes
Loading...

Pitch Dark
Opened Gates
Roaring Screams
Barking Dogs
Blows to heads

Everything was so fast.
The strong stay here.
The weak were gone in a blast,
Will I too disappear?

Without a father,
without a mother,
I must take care of my brother,
but death took one after another.

I got water.
He got gas.
It was the blotter,
and we were the ink.

Red Sky
Smoke-filled air
Smell of burning flesh

Parents,
Husbands,
Wifes,
Friends,
Chidren,
Families,
Going up the chimney.
The biggest funeral in history.

Bright light
Opened gates
Roaring laughs
Peaceful eyes
Rest to the heads

blue sky
love-filled air
smell of heaven.

Parents,
Husbands,
Wifes,
Friends,
Chidren,
Families,
Sitting up in the clouds.
The biggest reunion in history.

I'm a Survivor
Story of Alice Lok Cahana
By Alexis Perez
Gas chamber,
A place meant for people
To die.
To be killed.

Allies, coming closer.
And closer.
We had to march
And march and march
I no longer could take it
I escaped the evil .

I ran to my freedom
To be saved.
I'm here
I'm saved.

I am caught.
I am captured.
I am tossed into a hell.
Into a place where
People are prisoners,
And are sent to rot.

Bergen-Belsen
Hell on earth.
Bodies
Scattered around,
No place to step.
People,
Begging
All they need is water.

Gas chambers,
And Bergen-Belson
Places where
people died.
But I survived.
I'm okay
By Vivian G
Made for Helen Lebowitz Goldkind

Small towns
With small people
Relatives are
All around Here

Never saw it coming
Seven children
All innocent and
Plastic

Shoes were our home
They're coming
I hear them
Their hard soles,
Their hard souls

One suitcase
One place
Go to the right
Go to the left
Don't look back

Burning skin
Yellow mist
Big explosions
Everything's in motion

I'm safe
I'm sick
I can't go back
I don't regret

I'm okay
Helen Lebowitz Goldkind was a young Jewish girl who was captured by Nazis.
She was taken to Auschwitz and while everyone but her sister and her were to be killed, her and her sister survived.
They went to go work in a factory and were later saved.

The dead were never carried out
Hell on earth
Innocent crying
Innocent dying

I left.. Well almost
I got caught with my sister and another inmate
I was suppose to be dead..
Gas chambers were suppose to take me, but not if there was a malfunction

My sister was sent to a hospital
Where'd she go?
What'd had happen to her?
"Mercy!" People cried

You were crying
You just couldn't escape it
Why? Why is this happening to us?
Pray I say pray

I have a plan
My sister, I haven't seen her..
But after the war..
I immigrated to the United States.. I was free.. Finally
