I enjoyed reading aloud when Mrs. Gyadikyan called on me because it helped improve my reading skills and gave me the confidence to read aloud more in class.
IXl helped me improve my spelling, reading comprehension, and helped me to learn new Vocabulary words.
My favorite assignment was the weekly Word, Quote, Idiom, and Root of the Week because it helped me learn new vocabulary words and allowed me to think critically about life and people around me by reflection on the Quote of the Week.
The beginning of 6th grade was exciting because I was coming to a new school with new teachers. Some assignments I enjoyed working on, others were IXL in Language Arts and reading. The Jumping Tree read aloud with my class, I loved. I struggled with getting help with my homework. I improved on getting higher points for my weekly Word, Quote, Idiom, and Root of the Week. I also felt less nervous about speaking in front of my Zoom class and unmuting my mic.
