Reflection ....................

I started Comp Sci Innov &amp; Makers during the start of the first semester. Since it was elective, I chose this. We started at code.org, then also did microbit.org, and then Google Draw. At first, I was slow, and couldn't keep up with my assignments. But now, I am caught up with the class, and the school year is almost over. I am glad I picked this elective, because it was the most interesting elective I've had so far.

My 7th grade at Patrick Henry was like any other. The first semester, we focused on science. The 2nd semester, we learned about health. Some struggles were I didn't pay attention enough, and I did not finish assignments on time. I improved on some of those, and now I can pay attention longer.

The year started off differently. Because the pandemic was at early stages, we went to class by internet. Some assignments were hard, but some of them were easy. I improved on typing, summarizing, and reading. My struggles included reading out loud, and turning assignments on time. I improved on reading better, but I still need to send in my work faster. I am not the best, but I am learning to do better.

The Open House Book. This very book you are reading, I am proud of. I struggled to do this, but I finally got it done in the end. Enjoy this book I made.

At first, IXL was hard. It still is. But I learned to improve in IXL, and got better at learning.

This is my favorite assignment because you can just read a book you like, and write about it. You can tell what you like about the book or summarize it. It is fun to do.

I am proud of this assignment because I didn't know about Korea's history, I now know the history of my parent's birthplace, and why there is north and south Korea.

I showed improvement on reading, specifically out loud. I can read out loud better than I used to, and I have finished the work for it (Shiloh chapters 1-3).

My first semester at Patrick Henry was strange. Not only did we do class by the internet, but we did not do history. When we were at 2nd semester, that was when history began. We started learning about Japan and China. We learned about the Rise of the Ming Dynasty, and of other Dynasties. We learned of Korea, and how it was involved between the wars of Japan and China. We also learned about Early American Civilization. My struggles included listening for details, but I improved on that, and I listen better now.

This is my favorite assignment because not only did I finally get to learn what a dynasty is, but I also learned of the history of the Mongols, and the Red Turbines, who rebelled against the Mongols and won.

This project was during fall semester and we learned how to use coordinates.

Math Reflection . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

One activity that I found hard was was Coordinate Planes. It was confusing to figure out where positive and negative were, and where X and Y was.

One activity that I really liked in Math was Zearn. It was really helpful and easy, and I liked it.

Spring Semester: Problem solving Constant Rate of Change Equations with Variables Exponets and roots

This year was hard. Math was very complicated, and I couldn't pay attention when they were explaining to the class. But I showed a bit of improvement at the end of the school year, and now I can do math just a bit better than before.
