Mother´s day

What day is celebrated?
In the United States, Mother's Day is celebrated on the second Sunday in May. Just as in Brazil, we celebrate maternity, express our love and recognition to our mothers.
How was it founded this holiday?
The celebration was founded by Anna Jarvis, daughter of activist Ann Jarvis, known for charity work, especially during one of the most complicated periods in American history: the American Civil War. The day was created by Anna as a way to honor her mother, who died in 1905. Its official creation took place in 1914, through US President Woodrow Wilson.
New Year´s Eve
Every year on New Year's Eve thousands
of people gather to watch the
Times Square ball drop live, while millions
more watch it on TV. It is very famous

the New Year since
December 31, 1907 in NYC.
It is common for this date to be celebrated with the family. It is celebrated in theory, so that the next year is better than what will pass, wishing for happiness, health, peace and other goods.
