In 2002, Jeremy Lin went to Palo Alto High School. As a freshman he was in the Junior Varsity team. At that time he was only 5 '3’’ tall and was not very tall considering age. But his coach said that he had the best skills set he had ever seen for his age. So he got the chance to play varsity ball even though he was a freshman. At the beginning everybody thought he was not going to make shots. He made his first 3 shots that were 3 pointers. When they won Jermery Lin gained the trust from his teammates. In the game against Gunn Titans, Jeremry Lin got 8 points during the last 4 minutes and allowed them to go to the finals. Although Jemery Lin could not get his team to win the final he was happy for his first year in his high school.

He loved basketball when he was young. He would finish his food and do his homework quickly then, would play basketball with his older brother. When he was small he started to play in the NJB(National Junior Basketball), which is still very popular in the Bay Area now. He also played in the AAU(Amatuer Athletic Union) which is very competitive. 

In 2010, Jeremy Lin was drafted into the Golden State Warriors. He was fist pumping, shouting, and screaming. He was so happy that he got put in the Golden State Warrior team. If you were near his house you could hear him inside shouting and screaming.&nbsp; But, during that time the GSW were very good and they could not afford to lose. Jermey was playing a little bad . But , he got put into the D-League. After that he got waived out of the team. But three days later he got into the Houston Rockets. After the first two games he got out of the game and he only had 7 min and 51 seconds of play time. Then he waved again. But then Daryl Morey tweeted that he wanted him on the team and did not know he was good.

Believe it or not, Jermey Lin’s dream school was not Harvard. His real dream school was going to UCLA, the UCLA Bruins team. He got a recording of his highlights in a DVD and mailed it to the head coaches with his resume. UCLA was a seed 1 division. But UCLA said they weren’t interested. &nbsp;At that time the coaches had unfair stereotypes and were against Asian Amearicans. They don’t think Asian American players can play basketball very well. Then he got a reply from Stanford University.They wanted to give an offer saying that he would not get a scholarship the first year but maybe the second. He rejected it because he felt that they did not trust him.&nbsp; Finally he accepted an offer from Harvard University even though there was no athletic scholarship. He finally got a team that truly believed in him and he was so happy.&nbsp;

In his third year in high school, he brought the Vikings to the NoCal champion. In the state final, Viking faced the Mater Dei Monarchs. The SoCal champions. The opponents were very tall. One of the team players was 7 ft 1 in. But the Vikings still had the hustle and also made more shots. The Vikings won the finals and became state champions. Jermey Lin got the MVP award at the end of the game. This was the first time Palo Alto high school got the championship.

Jemery Shu-How Lin was born on August 23,1988 in Torrance, California , his name representing the American Dream. The time he was born was scorching hot. His parents are Gie-Ming Lin and Shirley Lin. He had an older brother called Josh Lin, and a little brother named Joshua Lin.&nbsp; Jeremy Lin’s parents were Taiwanese immigrants. They came to Usa in the 1970s for academic and career opportunities.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;
