Dwayne Johnson was born on May 2, 1972 in Hayward, California. When he was a child, he loved playing American football with his dad, Rocky Johnson who had been a pro wrestler. As Dwayne got older, he wanted to be a pro football player.

Dwayne played college football for the University of Miami. When he didn't make the NFL, he signed with the Calgary Stampeders in the CFL or Canadian Football League but was cut from the team in his first season.

In 1995, Dwayne started wrestling. His dad and grandfather had done pro wrestling and Dwayne had already done a lot of tackling, and wrestled with his dad. This gave a boost to Dwayne's new career in wrestling. Around the year 1996, Dwayne adopted the famous name 'The Rock'. From then on, he would be a legend. On July 21, 2002, Dwayne Johnson won the WWE champions title belt for the very first time. He then won the WWE championship 9 more times.

Dwayne started making movies in 2002 and started wrestling less. Dwayne started his first movie, The Scorpion King, on April 19, 2002. Later on, he would make many more movies.
Dwayne made many movies such as Moana in 2016, Skyscraper in 2018, Jumanji in 2019, and Jungle Cruise in 2021.
