Jack Roosvelt or Jackie Robinson was born in January 31th and passed away in October 24th

   He was born in Georgia, a family that lived in a rural community;

Considered the first afro-american in Major League Baseball, in the modern era;

He served the American army at the time of World War II;

He received an invitation to play in the Kansas City Monarchs, the main team of black and dark-skinned Latin leagues in the United States, where athletes who had not been accepted into other leagues for racial reasons played;

At the age of 28, he won the rookie of the year award in his first season, mainly for bringing a new style of play;

He became an important figure in several black movements, in which he was invited to represent them.

Robinson was the first dark skin guy to play the "white people's baseball", with a excellent score, which made him famous in the team and the history of baseball. Thereby, he had the opportunity to play on MLB (Major League Baseball) and became the MVP (Most Valuable Player) in one of the games.&nbsp;

His actions inspired other black people to participate in games and posteriorly, many of them got accepted in light skin people teams. This event caused the decrease of the preconception about dark skin people, but not all of it, becoming known as the Colour Line Breaking.

Later on, on his third year he was named the best player of the season and spent on total 10 years in the team, becoming a important figure on several black movements, in which he invested to represent them.

In that time, Los Angeles Dodgers wanted to hire a black player with good and representative figure

He bacame an businessman too, with the purpose of helping black people financing afro-american startups.&nbsp;<br/><br/>One of the highest achieves of Robinson was the Breaking of the Colour Line in Baseball.<br/><br/>When black people started to play baseball, they were separeted in groups of people who had the same skin tone, according to the existing racism and the white supremacy. Black people were isolated and played minor leagues, compared to the white.&nbsp;

Jackie was inducted into the league's Hall of Fame in 1962 and in 1997 the MLB decided to retire the number 42 of all league teams so that everyone will always remember who Jackie Robinson was.
