Introduction
In this book, I will introduce you to Rikako a wonderful hardworking student. During these past few weeks I spent time interviewing her and getting to know her. While in my own time I spent time researching about her culture and traditions.
On June 12,2007 Rikako was born in Meguro City, Japan. It is a special ward in Tokyo. As a child she began learning piano at just three years old. It is now one of her skills. At the age of 10 her parents got divorced. During most of her childhood she moved a lot, in total she has moved five times. Despite all that she said she didn’t mind moving. She is currently living with her mom and younger sister in Singapore for her studies. Rikako is attending Canadian International School where she enjoys playing basketball.

Home country
In this section I’ll be talking about Japan. Japan is the eleventh most populous country in the world. It is known for its traditional arts, including calligraphy and tea ceremonies. Tokyo is the capital of Japan in East Asia, and it is at the head of Tokyo Bay on the Pacific coast of Japan’s main island of Honshu. Tokyo is officially Metropolis, the most populous, political and economic center of Japan. The four ocean plates surrounding the island and nurture a large number of fresh seafood to Tokyo Bay.
