Elly had tried to calm her down by inviting her over. They had the same conversation they always had: How to talk to people. Elly taught Lia how to talk in a work meeting. She made her friend be a little more confident when talking and saying&nbsp;her opinions. Another problem was the fact that she was the only woman that was going to attend the meeting. Lia was the shyest person Elly had ever met. After three days of practicing talking and expressing ideas, Lia was half prepared for the meeting, but when Elly gave her a hug, she felt safe and ready for anything. The meeting was a success. Elly was so proud of her friend and happy that she had been able to help her.

Elly Cooper is now 23 year old. She is still always kind to everybody and always puts the others first. That's what makes her special. She is happy as long as everybody else is happy. Her older brother always used to tell her that her kindness was her superpower. She never believed that kindness was a superpower though. It's just a way of life. It's just her way of life.

Elly lives in a small flat in Odessa, where she studies law. She is in her second year of university. Elly is really creative and independent so she really loves singing and drawing, even though she has always wanted to be a lawyer so she could help innocent people.

The wedding had come and everyone was so excited. They all sat in their prepared places. When the ceremony began, silence covered the place like it was one of those blankets that makes you fall asleep instantly.&nbsp; After the ceremony, the party started. Elly went to congratulate Lia once again. Lia said that she was so grateful for all the help Elly had given her in the past. Then she gave Elly a bracelet with a little medallion with a picture of Elly and her brother when they were little, smiling like they were the happiest children on Earth. Apparently, Elly’s mother told Lia about the accident. Lia didn’t want to start a conversation about it with Elly, as she saw how sad she was. Elly almost cried. She thanked her so much. She, then, thought again about the question. Then she whispered to herself: “It was worth it” . Kindness is a great superpower!

They started talking about their lives and everything. Elly asked her friend if she liked somebody, because Lia had already gotten to a marriable age. Lia hesitated at first, but then she started talking about that (though, she was kind of whispering). She told Elly that a coworker of hers asked her out and she accepted but she doesn’t know how to behave at a date. Lia does like him and she doesn’t want to mess things up. The only thing that you could observe at Elly at that point was a poker face, but she was actually smiling and jumping of excitement inside. Elly told Lia that she was going to help her with everything. Lia was so happy and quite stressed at the same time.

One day, while Elly was just having her morning coffee in the kitchen of her pretty cheap apartment, the main phone rang. Elly picked up the phone and asked who it was. She heard an awful, very annoying crying. She recognized the voice. It was her close friend, Lia. Lia is not like other people. She doesn’t like talking to people normally. She suffers from social anxiety and this is a problem when it comes to, well, going through life. Lia had just started her first job in an office in the center of Odessa and she was stressed that she had a meeting in a week with her new coworkers. She could barely talk at her interview. Lia was so agitated and the only person she could talk to was Elly.&nbsp;

One day, Elly got a new call, this time from her mother. She answered the phone with a smile on her face… but she ended it with the saddest expression she had ever made. Her mother told her that her brother had died in a car accident the night before. They thought they could save him but his lungs got completely crushed into the car’s head. The driver got arrested. He was drunk while driving and didn’t even see the red traffic light. Her brother was simply crossing the road, but the driver was coming with such speed that he would have killed even a cheetah. Elly thanked her mother for telling her those terrible news and the mum said that if Elly wanted, they could meet up and talk a little so that they could both support each other, but then, the mum said something about the funeral and Elly just simply hung up the call. She started crying. Her brother was her best friend forever. It seems that he was now only her best friend. She picked up the medallion of her necklace from her neck. In it there was a picture of Elly and her brother when they were little. They seemed so happy together. How could this friendship end so fast? She was so depressed. She ignored all of her mother’s and also her best friend Lia’s messages. Lia was really stressed about what happened to Elly so she spammed her until Elly went to sleep, still in shock, only dreaming of her past with her brother and the future that could have become true if “forever” didn’t disappeared.&nbsp;

Writer 1: “Now, everything makes sense. Lia wakes up in her bed, thinking about someone.” Writer 2: “But who is that?” Writer 3: “It seems like it was all just a dream, or a nightmare?” Writer 1: “Well, she had a friend. What was her name? I can’t remember her name!” Writer 3:&nbsp; Elly.&nbsp; Writer 2: “Aha! But what was happening in Lia’s head?” Writer 3: “It seems like you were asleep, Writer 2.” Writer 2: “No, I wasn’t!” :/

Superheroes In Real Life - A Kind Friend Part 1 and Part 2

Weeks passed and birds flew south. Rain drops poured down, love led its way. Elly was reading a good book when she heard her phone being spammed with messages. Each message included one sentence. Elly picked up her phone, already knowing who was texting her. It was Lia who invited her to have a drink at a nice café from down the street. Elly was glad. She hadn’t been outside with friends since she started her second year at the university in autumn - and then it was already mid spring. When Elly got to the café, she saw Lia sitting in a chair, with her head down to her knees. Lia doesn’t like looking at people, because that stresses her a lot, so she would rather just look at her knees.

Elly chose to hide the fact that her brother died from Lia, because she didn’t want her friend to think about her problems too. She decided to hide her emotions from everyone except her subconscious.&nbsp; About 4 months later, on Lia’s birthday, Elly came to her house. At Lia’s house there were Lia, her boyfriend and, of course, her cat, Fanne (name inspired by the diarist Anne Frank, that Lia loved). Lia told Elly to sit down on the sofa. They wanted to tell her something. Lia took a deep breath and spilled it all out. Lia and her boyfriend were getting married! Elly was surprised. She was so happy for them, but, at the same time, she was about to burst in tears of disappointment. They all celebrated. Elly realized that she had left a lot of things behind for her friend, but was it worth it? She was continuously asking herself the same question, over and over. Lia asked Elly if she wants to be her friend’s bridesmaid. Elly showed a forced smile while accepting the proposal. She was actually happy about being a bridesmaid. Lia also asked her friend if she wants to help her organize the wedding. Elly said yes, looking at the wall, having a poker face. Then, they talked more and Elly almost forgot about her problems. Was it worth it though?&nbsp;
