The Plague

Hello reader! Before you start reading this long book, there are a few things you should know! First, this book is set in 1347 AD. This is the time of the Plague, when 25 million people (about the population of Texas) died of the Plague. It was a scary period of time and you would not live a long happy life then. So, this book was not made to be happy. It has a lot of plot twists and ends in an unique way. And that is all you should know have a nice day and enjoy the book.

CHAPTER 1
STORM- (Daniel Anderson; 21 y.o.)

The Plague ruined our life. All I see is families dying, bodies lying lifeless on the ground... I can't stand the helpless screams of all of the sick people. I can't stand the fact that the Nobles and Royal families are safe in their palaces sleeping on pillows full of coins and eating enough food to feed 20 families only in one day... The life of a son of a farmer is harsh, let alone the Plague is ravaging the lands. My dad was devastated after the death of my mother... He wasn't in the mood for farming or even getting food for us... All he did was drink and gamble. But I understand that this is making his pain go away. One day, I went out to get as much food as I could for our survival, the situation was serious. Because I was penniless I decided to steal food. As I was putting the last piece of meat, a luxury for that time, an old hag caught me during the act and cursed me. At first, I didn't believe in those stories and myths, I ignored her and went home. And that has been my daily routine. But the old hag wasn't there anymore.

One time I got home, my dad brought his whole group of drunk friends to our house, and for what? Only to get drunker and gamble all night. I was mad. I dragged my father into the other room and asked him: "What do you think you are doing with your drunk friends here? Don't you think you should farm and get food for us too?". He only coughed like the drunk man he was and laughed at me. "Dad, just get them out of our house and go to get some rest, tomorrow we are going to farm together". He shouted: "NO," I said: "I'm sorry, what?" The rage was filling me, what has become of my once hardworking and loving father... I couldn't tolerate this, I just wanted to push him. I barely touched him and he grabbed my neck and arms and I almost suffocated. My arms broke free from him and I have unleashed several lightning bolts out of my hands and struck my dad's chest. He fell to the ground, electrocuted... The other men rushed to leave the house fearing I'd do the same to them. "Dad?" I shook him, I screamed... All in vain, I killed him... I didn't mean to...

I ran outside and burst into tears... As I fell on my knees I punched the ground as hard as I could. Several days passed since I started sleeping on the streets and one day, I witnessed a girl getting robbed by local bandits. I realized I had to kill them, I had to save the girl's life. I saved her life, yet I didn't even have the time and courage to even look her in the eyes. I ran away, I wanted to flee the chaos of Birmingham and live a new life. As I went to sleep in the woods, while I was closing my eyes, suddenly, I saw a flash of light right in front of my eyes...

Chapter 2
Andrax
As one of the next in line for the throne l was scared, scared of my dad and what he would do to me if I didn't listen to him. The truth is that I hate my dad. I hate his ethics. He is an idiot that doesn't deserve the power of being the king. The Plague has been killing millions, but he only cares about himself and that he gets more and more gold coins. I've seen what he has done to our people. But I am powerless against him. I once tried to argue with him, but he screamed at me saying, ''Do you really want to help the people below us!? The poor people!? Who knew my own son would be so foolish.'' But now I was ready. I was ready to kill him, to finally make life better for the poor people. I have been training with my sword and now I was ready to kill the man that I call my father. Then I shall be king. King Andrax the first.

It slowly became night. I waited to hear the bells then I was ready, suddenly I heard them. The bells. I slowly got out of bed then I started to sneak around the castle. Going past guards. I knew what would happen if anyone saw me. There was the room, I went to the doors and opened them. Inside was a beautiful fireplace. And there was the bed. I slowly approached with a sword in hand, I raised it. But suddenly my father jumped out of bed! And said: ''Stop, what are you doing?'' I did not say a thing. My father went on. ''You were trying to kill me right''. He raised his voice even more. ''Well, if you want to fight, then I'll give you a fight! You could hear his anger growing and growing. Suddenly a flying sword went across the room to him and flew right at him, he quickly caught the weapon and then attacked me with it. I blocked it. ''How was he so good at fighting?'' I asked myself. I jumped to the side. He kept on trying to hit me swinging his sword towards me. It was harder and harder to block, I could not get any hit at him but then I saw an opening in his defense. I then swung and in one hit he was down on the floor. I did it. I did it! My eyes grew big. He is dead. But I felt nothing. No glory, no nothing. I went on my knees thinking about what I have just done. I did not feel regret. What was my next thought? I wanted to get rid of more evil, more and more and more. I was ready and then I saw a light...

Chapter 3
Green Flame
Hi! I am Tim Crawley from Manchester. I was born in 1320 and I have muscular arms, a big chest, muscular legs. I am also tall, I have black eyes and curly brown hair.
One day, I went with my dad to have a picnic in a forest, suddenly the rain started and a lightning hit the trees. There were 5 trees which were surrounding us and they started burning and a tree fell on us, unfortunately, my dad died, but something strange happened to me. My hands started to burn and my whole body started to burn, but I didn't feel anything and the fire wasn't a normal one, it was green fire. I ran from there and I hid from the police my whole life until 25. From the age of 25 to the age of 26 I trained to become The Green Flame. I gain my superpowers from the sun and my body is like armor through which nothing passes. I blow green flames. And now I am in 1346 at the age of 26. One day l saw a light...
