7th Grade STEM - OPEN HOUSE 2021 

PE at home!?! In Physical Education, we want our students to learn why they need to be physically active, especially now! We want our students to learn how they can be physically active, even with limited choices and equipment. With this knowledge, our hope is that our students will be empowered to be physically active and in addition learn new skills to be able to participate in new activities!

We created positive affirmations using tessellations and the artist Lakwena Macivar as our inspiration.

An assignment that I am proud of is the Chinese Lunar New Year Choice Board. I am proud of this assignment because I learned new beliefs and customs about the Chinese Lunar New Year.

This assignment showed improvement throughout the school year because I learned new techniques in doing online projects. I learned new advertising methods of how to grab someone's attention to buy a certain thing. 

One of my most favorite assignments was "The ABC'S Book Project." This was my favorite project because I got to work in teams with my friend. 

I am proud of being able to learn many methods of solving math problems. I made a Business Project and an ad. Before I had some trouble solving word problems. Now it's become easier.

One way I have improved as a student is being able to learn many concepts and ways of math. I've improved in Distributive Property. Which is now my favorite!

Harry Potter/Love &amp; Monsters/ Moxie/ Yes Day/ To All the Boys/Raya &amp; The Lost Dragon/ Freckles/Enola Holmes/Wonder Woman 1984) The best shows I watched were: (1. Cobra Kai/Stranger Things/Turkish Novels/ Umbrella Academy) What I learned about myself: My point of view on many things changed. If I propose to do something I will accomplish it. I have lots of High Hopes in Life and those are my motivation that one day I will help make a change. I've also learned that many of the things that I've said or done before ... I wish I could I have done that differently.

One of the cornerstone events that helps us in maintaining the home to school connection and showcasing our student's many accomplishments, is Open House.&nbsp; While we would prefer to host Open House in typical, in-person format, current circumstances don't permit us. Even though our school buildings have been closed, your children have continued to learn and shine. On the following pages, you will find wonderful examples of the work they have produced this year during virtual learning.  We hope that you enjoy seeing and hearing about the assignments highlighted.
