The Bee-Bot is a little robot that can go in 4 directions, N, E, S, W and can be programmed to complete a task. There is an iPad app if you want students to code their virtual Bot through levels of mazes, but devices are not required.

Charge Your Robots
Simply plug them into the wall or computer with the included USB charging cable.

NOTE: To preserve battery life, try not to leave 'bots charging after they have been fully charged.

Using
Bee-Bot

How do students use Bee-Bot?
Directional keys are used to enter up to 40 commands which send Bee-Bot forward, back, left, and right. Pressing the green GO button starts Bee-Bot on its way. Bee-Bot blinks and beeps at the conclusion of each command to allow children to follow Bee-Bot through the program they have entered and then confirms its completion with lights and sound.

Activities

Sample Activities
Program Bee-Bot to travel to a partner and then back to you.
Make Bee-Bot move in a square. What is the algorithm?
Attach markers with tape to make Bee-Bot draw circles, squares, or other shapes.
Use the grid floor mats to retell stories.
Using unifix cubes, create a maze for Bee-Bot. Program the bot to travel through the maze.
Use Bee-Bot to travel a number line.
