Hi, My name is Pervez Hoodbhoy and I am a Pakistani peace activist. I was born in 1950 in the city of Karachi. My family belongs to the Gujarati people of Pakistan. At first I attended the Karachi Grammar school before moving to America to study at MIT. At MIT I spent years researching solid-state physics while also getting a PHD in nuclear physics. Then I went on to teach at the University of Washington and Carnegie Mellon University. While at MIT, I also spent some time working on particle physics with the creators of the Atomic Bomb. Just to be clear this is not because I want to make more nuclear weapons. In fact, its just the opposite.
