Critical Problems and Design Solutions eBook

In Unit 2 you researched a problem and then wrote a problem-solution essay in Unit 3. In this performance task students will host a Solution Symposium during which students present the problem and design-solution that they researched. To prepare for the Solution Symposium, students create an eBook visual representation of their essay content and share these eBooks with guests at the in-person or virtual Solutions Symposium event.

Describe the problem researched to guest(s) visiting their station.

Page for brainstorming two possible solutions to the problem with the guest.

Creative way of revealing and explaining the solution, such as an illustration, video, audio or diagram.

Create prompt pages for the guest to ask you. Answer the questions. (1) how was design thinking used to solve this problem and (2) how were habits of character used to solve this problem?

Create a reflection page and have the guest use a shape, video or audio button to record one insight or piece of learning gained during the presentation.
