A teacher affects eternity as one can never tell where one's influence stops.

December 2021
Happy December to All!!
First and foremost, THANK YOU!!! This year has been trying so far. Getting "back to normal" is still a goalpost that is out there ahead of us. The most important thing to remember is you are appreciated! Appreciated by your students, their families, your administration, and your colleagues for all the hard work it has taken so far and will still yet take to get back to some sort of normalcy.
Remember to be patient with yourself, and patient with all those around you, as all are dealing with the enormous task of making our way back to a point where everything doesn't seem quite so hard. Thank you to everyone who attended the first few Mindfulness Mondays that Ms. Rubin organized. Personally, I found them very helpful to remind myself to stop and take a moment to breathe. I hope more can attend at the next meeting. Also, don't forget to take advantage of "free to teacher" deals like Headspace. It's a great app to help you self-motivate a mindfulness practice into your daily routine.
So again, I cannot express how grateful I am for the hard work you all do everyday for our students and if there is anything I can help you with in my professional capacity as EdTech Supervisor, or even my personal capacity as someone who can listen, never hesitate to reach out to me.

Communication
4 C's of 21st Century
Last month we focused on collaboration. This month is somewhat of a mix of collaboration and communication. If you shared your favorite EdTech tool with at least two of your colleagues last month, THANK YOU!! Let me know how that went.
This month I want to share with you my own favorite tool for sharing with educators outside our district. Twitter! I know, I know, Twitter? Really? Yes, really. When used the right way it is one of the best ways to collaborate outside of district.

Twitter for Education
● Twitter is often overlooked as a fantastic resource for educators.
● There is an amazing amount of excellent content that is shared on Twitter for educators, administrators, and students for all to use.
● Great places to start are organizations that are dedicated to teacher professional development such as Edutopia, Teaching Channel, and Google for Education.
● Start a new professional profile, only follow teaching sources, other educators, ed. hashtags, and you'll create an amazing tool for education collaboration.
● A great individual to follow for EdTech is @AliceKeeler, I can also be found @DanGallantMCVTS
