FEMINISM

the Education Gender Gap
the Education Gender Gap
I chose this topic because I wanted to raise awareness to all the women around the world and help them in any way I can. I know it is not a lot but every little thing or action matters, and this is one of my actions. I think there is a big gap between women and men's rights and education. For example, in some countries, boys/men are taught more Maths and are way more mentally challenged than girls/women, and women are taught more Language or Arts and Crafts. Furthermore in some places, girls/women cannot go outside their houses without a man from the family or without a group of girls. In my opinion, this kind of things are very unfair and should change as quickly as possible.

I can answer this question by looking around me and maybe I would say yes, but as soon as I look a little bit further than my close friends, I see huge differences that make me sad and it makes me feel like I must do something about it. Doing something at my age may be difficult, but I can start by learning and showing others what I've learned about the unequal world that different women and girls should face.
First I tried to understand the situation women have in different countries. In some countries like Pakistan, women can't leave their houses without the company of a man from the family. To me, this is really weird, surprising and new because in the country where I live, Argentina, women have the same rights as men. However, it is also true that many times, some very unfair things happen, like women/girls being abused or raped, or even women getting paid far less than men for doing the same job. Did you know that in 2020, 251 femicides happened in Argentina , in which 84% already knew the assassins.
