RELIGION
"The belief in and worship of a superhuman controlling power, especially a personal God or gods."
Humans evolved from small hunter-gatherer tribes into large cultures, our ancestors needed to encourage cooperation and tolerance among the community. They made god to give purpose and reason to the things they can't explain.

Since then religion has had the purpose to keep society stable and balanced. Some people think that without it there would be no peace in the world. Religions usually encourage good actions and changes that benefit you and others.
DIFFERENT RELIGION
CHRISTIANS
A christian is someone who has put faith and trust in the redemptive work of Jesus Christ through his death on the cross and subsequent resurrection. They believe in the uniqueness of Jesus, the necessity of the cross, one god, resurrection, the bible, the holy spirit, prayer, grace, community and the inspiration of scripture.
SHINTO
Shinto is polytheistic and revolves around the kami, supernatural entities believed to inhabit all things.
It is an optimistic faith, that means that all humans are good, and evil is believed to be caused by evil spirits. Consequently, the purpose of most Shinto rituals is to keep away evil spirits by purification, prayers and offerings to the kami, usually performed in shrines.
Th idea of shinto is to promote harmony and purity in all aspects of life.
MUSLIMS
Muslims are monotheistic and worship one, all-knowing God, who in Arabic is known as Allah.
Islam means "the submission to the will of god", so they aim to live a life in full submission to Allah.
Muslims are expected to live according to Islamic law, which is called Sharia, or “God's Way”. They are not allowed to steal, lie, commit adultery, gamble, eat pork or drink alcohol. It is also in the law that women should dress modestly.
Their main belief is "There is no god but God, and Muhammad is the Messenger of God"
CATHOLICS
Being a catholic is very similar to being a christian, as in they have the same beliefs and follow the same rules. As Christians, Catholics also follow the teachings of Jesus Christ but do so through the church, whom they consider as the path to Jesus. They believe in the special authority of the Pope which other Christians may not believe in, whereas Christians are free to accept or reject individual teachings and interpretations of the bible.
