Why it's important to cite your sources.
It is important to cite your sources to avoid plagiarism, which is using another person's written words or ideas without giving credit. Properly citing your sources is important because:
~ It makes your work more credible.
~ It tells your reader where the information came from.
~ It provides your reader with additional resources on your topic.
~ It protects you from plagiarizing.
~ It gives proper credit to the creators of the original content.

Signing Into NoodleTools
NoodleTools can be accessed through your Clever account.
~ Login to Clever using your district Google account.
~ Select NoodleTools.
~ Login to Clever using your district Google account.

When you first login to NoodleTools, you will be on the Projects page. If you've used Noodle Tools before, you will see a list of existing projects. Projects are sorted by school year. To change the year, click the drop down menu at the top right of your screen. You can also create a new project from this page.
Citing a Book
From the Sources page, select New Source.
NoodleTools will ask you two questions about your source.
Where is it? Where did you find this source?
For a book, choose Print or in-hand.
What is it? What type of source is it?
For a book, choose Book.
