Cristoph Columbus was born in 1451 in Genua, Italy. He discovered America in 1492 but he wanted to discover a new way to India. Because of this he named the native americans "Indians"

Independence Day:
- The 13 colonies weren't happy how the British people treated them
- They declared Independence on the 4th of July 1776

Typical for the Independence Day:
- making fireworks, going on parades and listening to concerts.
- Pets are dressed in blue-white-black.
- Flags are everywhere
The Independence War
After the Seven Years War the British King needs money so that he made laws for the colonies. But the colonies didn't want to pay laws so that they boardeds the ships. The Britans were very upset and ended the self goverment in the colonies.
The colonies split in two groups. The Loyalists and the Patriots. The Loyalist wanted to stay in britan but the Patriots wanted a fair life. Conflicts between the Patriots and Britans started the Revolutionary/Independence War. The War went until 1783, when the Britans accepted the colonies.
