The story of Icarus
Loading...
A long long long time ago a man called Daedalus and his son Icarus were being held in prison by King Minos (the King of Crete). They wanted to escape so they made wings from feathers and wax.

Daedalus warned Icarus not to fly too high or too low. Icarus ignored him and flew too close to the sun. This melted the wax on his wings and he fell to the ground. This is where the phrase "Don't fly too close to the sun" came from.
