A new book

The children in 3rd were learning all about flight, so they came up with these informative and creatively designed books to spread their knowledge!

3rd Class Emma- First flight

The Wright brothers made history. People saw it on the newspaper and tv. That inspired people to make the Apollo 11 and other machines.

Okay, lets get to the real story. Wilbert Wright was born in 1867 and his brother Orville Wright 1871. They had a bike store but were always interested in FLIGHT!!! The experimented flight by building flying machines.

Long ago there was a young man called Icarus. His dad Daedalus made him wings. They were made of birds wings and wax. Daedalus made them to get Icarus out of prison.

(fun fact) They were held prisoners by king Minos

The Wright brothers kept falling and not flying after so many falls they could not make there machines fly. It seemed that it was impossible. After every thing. They looked at all the things in the olden days that worked out and did not.
