About the author: Hi, I am Lily Kate and I am 11 years old. I wrote this book from inspiration of Ladybug and Bingo. I love the idea of camping and outdoors! Then I realized this generation of kids and teenagers are stuck in their phones and ipads and never go outside. So I thought this book would give early on ideas to teach children at Headstart and maybe more kids in Nashville that memories are not made on screens and to go outside and play with friends more. I am not saying never play on electronics, but you should spend more time outside. -Lily Kate I HOPE YOU ENJOYED THIS BOOK

She yanked her suitcase out from under her bed and unziped it. She angrily throwed in some of her favorite glittery clothes. Then she unzipped her backpack and put some snacks and blankets in it. Then she sat her bags by the door and laid down in her comfy bed and took a long nap.

June got up in the morning and got dressed. Then she rolled her bag downstairs and hopped in the car. Her parents loaded all their bags in the car and got on the road. Nothing much happened except they stopped at McDonalds half way and April stole Augusts last fry and April smacked him across the face. April got in big trouble because "We do not result in violence" their dad said trying to drive around a huge red truck on the highway.

Slouching June rolled down the stairs and the smell of the pancakes instantly brightened her mood. She skipped into the kitchen and grabbed two delicious pancakes and the syrup and sat at the table with her siblings, August and April. While June was eating her mom started explained more about her vacation. "Ok kids so we will leave tomorrow. The drive is about 30 minutes, we are going to do so many fun things. Like swimming, peach picking, ziplining, and much more! So after you eat go pack your bags." June finished her food and grumpily walked up the stairs.

Then she went peach picking with her family. They each got brown little wicker baskets and got to pick a bunch of peaches. June picked a peach that looked like a sunset it was stunning.

After they went peach picking they went back to their tent to get dressed for dinner. They went back to the red barn for dinner and they made smores and star gazed. June saw stars and mars. "I have never seen anything like this, it's the most wonderful thing I have ever seen!" said June in bewilderment. After dinner she went back to her tent to sleep in. She was very sad, she had to leave tomorrow!

After breakfast June and her family went on the zipline into the lake. "It was so rad" April said after she got out of the lake

Early the next morning June's mom woke her up with big news! "Good morning sweetie! I have big news, we are going... CAMPING tomorrow and no electronics." "Nawwwww I think I'll pass, but thanks for the invitation." said June in an unconvincing voice "Yeah it's not a choice FAMILY VACATION TIME!" Excited her mom merrily trotted downstairs and cooked chocolate chip pancakes (June's favorite). Falling out of bed June throwed on some clothes and went downstairs.

The next morning they went to breakfast in a red barn, but they called it the "Dining Hall" June had something called "Vegetables" it's green leafy food that's good for you.

Finally after what felt like the longest 2 hours of June's life they arrived at the campsite. They pull down the gravel road when they came up on a green and brown tent that had a paper on it. It said the MONTH family in bolded letters. They pulled into their campsite and brought all their stuff in the tent and got settled. They got there at like 7pm at night so after they ate dinner they went to bed.

Surprised June woke up really early and ate breakfast at the red barn one last time. After breakfast June sadly walked to their tent to pack up the car and June said one last goodbye and they drove off.

When June got home she put her electronics under her bed and vowed to not  be on them as much anymore especially during the summer. Then she went next door to grab her bestie, July and they went to play in the lake.
