Jack’s eyes grew wider. He started to slow down. He did not know that the bridge was that high! He did not know that the bridge was that long! He did not know that when you are on the bridge it is so windy! And he DID NOT KNOW that all the cars on the bridge made so much noise!!!!!!

Today was the day. The day when Jack would bike across the Golden Gate Bridge with his delightful dad. Jack was very excited, but also a little nervous because the bridge is taller than a thousand giraffes!&nbsp;

Elle Belle wrote this book with the setting in San Francisco, California because she lived in SF for her whole childhood (10 years). She has lived in Nashville for about a year now but she misses SF dearly. She wanted to write something about her hometown, so when she got assigned this project, she knew exactly what to write about. She biked across the Golden Gate Bridge many times with her dad and her whole family and that is why she decided to have Jack bike with his dad.

He stopped. He could not go any further. He was too scared. His dad tried to help him get over his fears, but Jack was just too nervous!

They started to bike back home but, on the way, they saw Jack’s friend, Tray. Tray stopped them and said that he just gotten back from biking across the bridge. He told them that it felt like a million butterflies fluttering around you. Then, he said that it was so fun to feel the wind blow against your face.&nbsp;

When Jack and his dad got home, Jack told his dad that he was sorry for being so scared. His dad said it was okay to be scared sometimes and that he was proud of him for facing his fears.

They biked through Crissy Field and onto the starting point of the fabulously famous Golden Gate Bridge.

I dedicate this book to my hometown, San Francisco, California

After Jack heard the enthusiasm in Tray’s voice, it made him want to face his fear and try again!

Jack and his dad went downstairs into the garage to get their bikes out and get all geared up.

They turned around and made their way across the beautiful bridge! Jack was having the time of his life!&nbsp;
