Note to the Reader
Dear reader,
LuLu's First Day is a mismash of a hundred different books with a little bit of imagination sprinkled on top. I took the idea of a town made of animals from Sylvester and the Magic Pebble. I took the idea of a modernized animal world with a school and cars from books like Penny and her Marble and Lily's Purple Plastic Purse, but the idea of the only human in an animal world was origanally mine. For the message of the book, I wanted to get across that you should always accept people no matter what they look like, where they live, or who they love.

From,
Audrey
Opening her eyes with a flash, LuLu remembered today was the day! She could hardly belive she was going to be a student, for it was her first day of school! She wolfed down her breakfast and ran down the stairs- she had to pack her bag, because Mother Mouse said to always be prepared!
Have a wonderful first day of school, LuLu! I'll be here when you get back!
A half hour later, LuLu got dressed in her new outfit- A bright, blue, bouncy, and beutiful shirt, a perfect purple skirt, and a little lemon-colored hair bow! She ran back down the stairs and fidgeted with her hair. Mother mouse came and handed her a beutiful backpack.
