Adel is the author and illustrator of A New Talent. She goes to an all girl's school in Tennessee. Adel has an American Brittany Spaniel who's name is Bo, she loves him very much.

Daisy tried and tried to score a goal, but she could not! “Goodbye Brian. I cannot score any goals with you, so I am going to go try something else to be the best at," she exclaimed sadly.

While Daisy and her mom were walking home, her mom saw that Daisy was miserable. “Why are you so glum today sweetie? I thought you were having fun at the park, you were playing basketball with Brian the bear, swimming with Sally the seal, and playing volleyball with Valerie the vulture!” Daisy paused and smiled. “Actually, I did have fun!” She said slowly. Daisy noticed that since she only wanted to be the best at all the things she did, she was not having fun!&nbsp;Usually, she loved playing basketball, swimming, and playing volleyball with all of her friends.&nbsp;

“Can I go to the park tomorrow so I can play basketball with Brian the bear, swim with Sally the seal, and play volleyball with Valerie the vulture again?” Daisy realized she did not care about being the best, she only wanted to have fun with her friends! The End!

When she got out of the swimming pool and changed, she spotted Valerie the Vulture playing volleyball! SMACK! Valerie just hit the ball over the net! “I want to be the best at volleyball!” Daisy claimed. She pranced over to the volleyball court. “Can I join?” “Of course!” Valerie answered. So, Daisy snatched her blue volleyball and strolled on the court.

When she got off the basketball court, she saw Sally the Seal swimming in the bright blue pool! SPLASH! Sally just dived! “I want to be the best at swimming!” she declared. She skipped over to the swimming pool. “Can I join?” “Yes!” Sally replied. &nbsp;So, she put on her yellow swimming suit and jumped in.

Daisy tried and tried to hit the ball over the net, but she could not! “Goodbye Valerie, I cannot hit the ball over the net with you, dive with Sally the seal, or score a goal with Brain the bear. So, I am going to go try something else to be the best at," she stated sorrowfully. But, before she could try something else to be the best at, her mom called her. “It is time to go home, honey!”

Daisy saw Brian the Bear playing basketball. SWISH! Brain just made a goal! “I want to be the best at basketball!” Daisy announced. She jogged over to the basketball court. “Can I join?” “Sure,” Brian responded. So, she grabbed her orange basketball and started to dribble.

Daisy the Deer was enjoying a walk in the park. The trees were glowing green, and the sun was shining yellow. “I want to do something today,” Daisy decided. “I want to be the best at something!”
