Chip's New Home

2021-22 6th Grade Public Purpose Books

My book is dedicated to my dog Daisy because she love chasing chipmunks and digging in chipmunk holes.

Chip found a small den under a tree to stay. 

Chip was just about to give up, but then he spotted something that he might try out. It was a park!

One cut down tree turned into one building, which turned into one road, which turned into one house, which turned into a big bustling city. And slowly but surely the whole forest was gone and replaced with a city.

A few years later, a couple trees were cut down in the forest. Chip and the other critters in the forest didn’t think anything of it until…

At first Chip didn't like his new home because he thought that it could never be the same as his old one. 

Chip was devastated and had nowhere to go. His home was gone. Chip knew what he had to do. He had no choice but to face his fear and explore the city for a new place to live.

But then he realized he was lucky to have somewhere to live. Although his house wasn't the same, he learned to enjoy his living space. Chip ended up decorating and remodeling his new house. 

Chip Munk had the best life any chipmunk could probably ever have. Chip lived in an especially exciting mushroom house in an especially exciting forest.

This forest included bright blue rushing waterfalls, tall and pokey pine trees, green moss covered rocks and a leafy forest floor. Chip’s home could not get any better.

Chip found houses, streetlights, apartments, buses, cars, stores, but no sign of a home.&nbsp;
