Dedicated to all the children at Headstart, I hope you have a wonderful time reading this.

And to my dad, he is always there for me and he has taught me to never give up. He is loving in every way, and he is always keeping his head held high. I can count on him for anything.
Ruby was in the yard passing a football with her dad. Ruby told him that she wanted to try out for the school’s tackle football team. Her dad told her that it was a great idea and that he supported her.
I'm trying out for the football team!
What! You can't play football, you're a girl!

The next day, Ruby walked to school with her best friend Jessica. They both go to Pinewood Highschool in Nashville, Tennessee. Delighted, she told Jessica about trying out for the football team. Surprised, Jessica suddenly stopped still. Speechless, she shouted, “What! You can’t play football, you're a girl!”
Infuriated, Ruby replied, " What? I thought you would be happy for me."
When Jessica and Ruby arrived at school, Jessica went to the school bully and blabbed to him about Ruby trying out for football. Dave looked as shocked as a sting ray, but then a sly smile spread across his face. He had an idea! A very very very bad one. Dave whispered quietly into Jessica's ear, " We will set a trap to convince her to never play football again!"
Jessica said confidently, " Ok meet me at the same place tomorrow."
The day before tryouts, Ruby was walking around the corner to go to her next class. Little did she know Dave and Jessica were waiting for her. Jessica whispers softly, " 1, 2, 3, GO!"
They jumped around the corner and dumped a big bucket of bright orange goo on her. Dave yelled to everyone, " Look, the girl who likes football!"
The crowd erupted! Kids were crowding around Ruby and taking pictures of her. Ruby turned red as a tomato. She sprinted to the bathroom and stayed there for the remainder of the day. When the last bell rand she dashed down the halls, through the doors, and down the streets all the way home.
