Why Lions Have Manes
It was a peaceful morning.
The lion woke up and ate his breakfast, which is a monkey. CRUNCH! He suddenly stopped eating and thought in his head “I just wish I had a mane!”

Ever since he was born he always wanted a mane but his friend Wise Giraffe said be thankful for what you have he stated. But he didn't listen to his friend Wise Giraffe.
He went outside to go to his friend Dog and ask where he could get his mane but suddenly it started raining. SPLASH! SPLASH!
He went to sleep and woke up the next day hoping that it would not rain.

The house shook.
It was not a big house, it was pretty small for the length of his body and how big he was.And he loved his house
He went to the dog again to see where the Magic River was.
The Magic River was created by a tornado.
He felt like he was about to fall because he was so exhausted.

Then he started his journey.
When he passed by Jaguar's house Jaguar was outside.
Jaguar asked, “Lion were you going?”
Lion replied, “I am going to the Magic River to get a mane.”
Jaguar asked “Can I come too?”
 “Sure! exclaimed Lion!
They went 10 miles to get to the river, but they still had 15 to go.
Jaguar was running when he stopped and called to Lion, “Hey Lion! Come back here we could make camp”.
Lion stopped running and they made camp.

When he put his paw up, the next morning he saw he squished a bug.
The next morning they made it to the Magic river when Lion saw his enemy Tiger, Lion whispered to Jaguar.
 “Hide there's Tiger!”said Lion.
Tiger passed them leaving them alone.

They saw the Magic River!
“Look,”said Lion
“There is the Magic River!"
Then Lion goes to drink it. SLURP! Then he runs away before the Guardian of the forest sees him.

And that is how Lions get Manes!
