Who was Anne Frank?
Anne Frank was born on June 12,1929. Anne's obstacle was that she hid in the secret annex. She hid long enough for her to write everything in her diary. If she hadn't we would have known nothing about her. What is a secret Annex? A secret annex is a place underground where her family and some other people would hide from the army

1. Margot was Anne's sister. She was 19 years old when she died.
2. Otto Frank was the father of Anne and Margot. He died when he was 91 years old 1889-1980.
3. Edith was the mother of Anne and Margot she died at the age of 44.
Who is Kitty?
Kitty is a gift Anne Frank got for her birthday. Her 13th birthday was the last birthday she celebrated before going into hiding. Her favorite present was the journal she got for her birthday. She named it Kitty. She wrote to Kitty every day and that is how we know so much about her today and she became so famous. KItty is now found at Anne Frank's house in Amsterdam. You can visit and see the diary in person and you can see the annex in person!
Why Did They Have to Go into Hiding?
There are two reasons why:
They had to hide from the Nazis because they sent a note saying Margot had to go to the concentration camp and that meant they might never see Margot ever again!
