Helen Keller became blind and deaf because she was very sick.

A teacher came to stay with her and helped her learn to use sign language.

She had a lot of screaming fits because everything was so dark and quiet.

She was born in 1880. She died June 1,1968.
She went to college in Radcliffe. She graduated in 1904.

She became a writer.

When she read books, there were littte bumps on it.

Helen Keller's first word was water.

She was friends with Mark Twain.
