Important Life Event #1 : He helped fire fighters control a fire pump when he was only 7 years old!
Important Life Event #2 : In his second year at Polytechnic Institute, he imagined AC (Alternating Current), when at the time there was only DC (Direct Current).
Important Life Event #3 : In 1886, he opened a laboratory of his new company, The Tesla Electric Light and Manufacturing Co.

We celebrate Nikola Tesla because... he was the creator of AC (Alternating Current). Also, he helped create many other things. He is very determined and hard-working. For example, when he was working for Thomas Edison, Edison said he could get a $50,000 bonus if he did extra work, and he did but just then Edison said it was a JOKE!
