Helen could not see and she could not hear.

Helen Keller was born on June 27, 1880. She was born in Tuscumbia, Alabama. Helen went to Radcliffe College. She died on June 1, 1968. A famous quote of hers is, "What I'm looking for is not out there, it is in me."<br/>

We celebrate her because Helen Keller helped the deaf and blind. She gave people hope. Helen Keller was a true heroine.

My name is Gus Fraga. My favorite food is a burger. My favorite color is blue. I like to play basketball. I live in Sleepy Hollow, New York. I have one brother and one sister. I am in third grade.

In 1882, she got sick when she was almost two and became deaf and blind. Helen learned her first words in 1887.
