Turbulence

This library was published during a full year of remote learning in the 20-21 school year. Students chose one of their narratives to publish.

I dedicate this book to Jaiden animations for inspiration, my family for telling me I could do it, my friends who cheered me on, and finally my teacher because she is awesome! ㇏(•̀w•́)ノ

I was nervous because I would be seeing my cousins I haven’t seen in&nbsp; 5 WHOLE YEARS! As I was watching youtube I heard a LOUD, scratchy voice coming from a speaker on the plane: “AHEM, excuse me all passengers, we are all in for some turbulence. My sister and brother almost fell out of their chair!&nbsp; “TURBULENCE?!” They both shouted at the same time. They couldn’t believe I didn’t care. After hearing them babbling all about turbulence and how we’ll drop, I realized I was wrong.&nbsp;

We boarded The plane and I was excited out of my mind! We Found our seats and sat down. I was so excited I could barely sit still! I pulled out my iPad and started watching youtube tours of places in hawaii so me and my siblings  could BEG our mom to go there! Even though I was excited, I was also quite nervous.

&#160;The shaking got worse and passengers were FREAKING OUT! The plane was shaking, it was shaking at the point where it felt like we were dropping! I squeezed my mom’s hand and I felt kind of better. I started to relax until I heard these three words.. “Welcome to Hawaii!” Everyone was SO relieved! Passengers started getting off the plane and smiling at the beautiful view of Hawaii. “WOW! Hawaii is really nice!” we all said

It was a quiet, early morning. Well, a little early, it was 4:00am! And my mom was the first one to wake up. Of course we all were waken up. I got waken up by my sister!

Mia! Mia! Wake up! We have to get to the airport or we'll be late!

The plane started shaking, not fun roller coaster shaking, but INTENSE SHAKING. I started to panic like crazy! (but not as crazy as both my brother and sister) We were freaking out! I heard children crying, of course my sister and brother screaming, And I even saw a guy praying! I got freaked out and teardrops rolled down my face, I thought hawaii would be fun but I was WRONG ABOUT THE FLIGHT!

We hopped into the car and drove off to the airport! Me, my sister, and my brother were all so excited! After all, it was all of our FIRST times on a plane! We finally arrived at the airport after a long drive, and saw what gate we had to go to. But first of course we had to go through security! After that, we headed off to our gate!

I didn't wake up fully so I dragged my feet to my closet to go find a comfy outfit. I finally found the perfect outfit! I twirled and took a good look at myself in the mirror. Hawaii Here I come!
