Have you ever almost missed your flight? Well, I sure have! One night my mom woke me and my brother up at 4am. I asked my mom why she woke us up so early. She said, “did you forget? We need to get ready to get ready for our flight “. I said “no I did not forget, even though I was lying. We got ready and packed up for the trip. All of us left the house at 5:15 am. 		 		We arrived at the airport at 6 am. I fell asleep the whole ride to the airport. I forgot what I put on because my mom picked out my outfit and I was to sleepy to care. I went to the bathroom to see what cloths my mom gave me to wear. I was wearing a black shirt, black shoes, black pants and a black hat. Amber (my sister) was wearing a blue shirt with butterfly jeans. Rohaan (my brother) was wearing almost the same cloths as me. My dad bought us some snacks, but we forgot our flight was at 7:30, it was already 7:00 and we hadn’t gone through security yet! We somehow got through security because my dad told them that we were running late.

		We got to our gate and made it on our flight. My mom went to the bathroom on the airplane and when she got out, she told us it felt like you were in a rocket ship. When we got to Florida my dad booked us a hotel. We were so tried that we fell asleep. The next day all of us went to the pool, we all had a fun time at the pool. I hope we can come to Florida again.

Have you ever had one of your friend’s ding dong ditch a house? Probably but me and my cousin went too far, I think? So, what happened was me and my cousin Hussan we ding dong ditched the whole hotel almost. But we got very lucky. There was this loud hotel room blasting hard rock, so my dad told me and Hussan too go check it out. So, we did and of course we had to ding dong ditch. We went to room 304.

Then we kicked the door we banged, and we knocked then we RAN! We ran for our lives. Because we heard a person say HEY! Then we ran into the vending area. Then we tried not to laugh. It was so hard not to laugh because my left shoe came off. I had to leave it behind though because we thought we took it. but it landed outside HIS HOTEL ROOM! Then we were scared. 		So Hussan and I were scared because he was HUGE! he was a body builder. So, we thought he was camping the door. So, we got my shoe then we hit and kicked the door and ran. And I started to scream the whole time. It was the funniest moment ever. It was funny. Then he came out with a broom! When we got home we learned never ding dong ditch a body builder.

Mom hurried me and my brother into the car and she gave me and Eran peanut butter sandwiches to eat when we got hungry, “Stay in here, I’ll be right back.”, she said as she shut the car door. A few minutes later both our parents piled into the car, mom gave me a green towel, “Lay this down in the middle of you two, that’s where the puppy will sit.”, she said, I placed it down, she handed me another blanket, it was a blue blanket, “Lay that one down on top of the towel.,” she said, so I placed it over the green towel. Dad started the engine and pulled out of the driveway. 		Before I knew it, we were on the highway, it was 4:30 in the morning and I knew it would be a long drive all the way to Pennsylvania, so I pulled my hood over my head and shut my eyes for a bit. I woke up, the sun was beaming on my face, the sun had finally come up! There were huge pastures of green grass, and clear rivers. We were in Pennsylvania! 		I gazed out the window, brilliant reds, fierce oranges, and fantastic golds, swirled around the cars on the road, and danced along the trees. Fall is such a beautiful time! This was quite the experience! But even better, we were only two hours away from the puppy place! 		I could not wait to meet our new puppy! It is so exciting! I was thinking of some names for our puppy, like Sadie, or Robin. But then dad pulled up in front of a big brown farmhouse, and next to it a huge red barn, we were here!

The Day We Adopted Maximus by Zoey

I remember this day like yesterday. When my mom told me that we were going to see our brand-new kitten named Maximus, I was so excited that I jumped up in the air. I was squealing like crazy because Max was only four weeks old, and he was small. I got to look at the older cats in a special room, so the cats do not escape. We got to hold Max and he was not even a pound yet! We also got to see his sister. When I held Max, it felt like I was holding a water bottle that was half empty. I wanted to squeeze Max because of how tiny and little he was.

There's a Mouse in Our House By Merola

Have you ever watched tv with your family and played games? Well, I have. But was a mouse next to you! Well one night I was watching tv with my family in the tv room and my dog was barking next to my sister my sister told me to look next to me. And I saw a MOUSE! 		I was so scared so the next day we went to the store and got mouse trappers. Then at 6:30 my mom was almost done with dinner. Then my mom heard something, it was the mouse trappers! My mom called my dad and my mom said I heard the mouse trappers' go off. 		My dad came and got gloves and a bag. We threw the mouse in the trash and then we went inside and wished our hands and then we ate food. We all are so happy the mouse is out of our house.

A man with a straw hat guided me and my family to the barn, there were three sections: a part where the German Shepherd puppies stayed, a stable for a giant horse, and another stable where a horse and some other breed of puppies stayed in. I walked over to the little pen where the German Shepherd puppies were, I did not know which one to choose! They were all so cute! Dad picked one with a faint purple collar, it was adorable! I immediately knew it was the one! I thought the puppy was a girl, but it turns out it was a boy! I was not prepared for that; mom and I had been looking for girl names ever since dad told us we were looking for a puppy. I was so stressed out, I had to think of a new name! But he was so cute! I didn’t really care what gender the puppy was but...I needed to name him something! 		 		We got into the car, mom wanted to put the puppy in a box, but she was voted out three to one, so the puppy sat in between me and Eran, when we started driving away from the barn, the puppy whined so loudly! I hugged the puppy trying to comfort him, a few minutes later he finally calmed down, I kind of felt bad for him, leaving his mom forever , but back to reality, when the puppy fell asleep, my cousins called. They kept quiet so they didn’t wake the puppy up, we brainstormed some names, and then I came up with Luka! It was cute, not silly, not too long, not too short, not confusing. It was perfect! 		When we got home me and my mom went to Ross to get some puppy items, we get him a soft, giant bed, a food bowl, a water bowl, and some treats, and a leash, (he already has a collar), we were also expecting a newborn kitten, one of my dad's colleagues said they’d bring us one if they could, so we got prepared and bought a super soft cat bed, and a baby bottle so we could feed the kitten. 		Then we headed to Wegmans. We bought dog food, cat food, and special cat milk for kittens. Then we headed home. Welcome home, Luka!

I got to hang out with Maximus and his sister for a little while with my family. After a little while we got to see a four day one which was super tiny. It was so adorable and tiny but sadly I could not hold it. My mom took some pictures of me holding Maximus and in one of them he was sticking out his tongue. The cat owner brought some older cats which were males. When the cat owner brought them out, they were HUGE! They were twenty pounds, which is heavy for a cat. I got to hold one of them and surprisingly they were very calm and gentle. 		I got to look at the older cats one last time before taking Max home. The cat owner said that the youngest one was six months in the cat area. When I went to go check out the other cats and I saw Max’s father. When I saw Max’s dad he looked kind of angry. It was kind of funny because he looked mad for no reason and my stepdad got to see him too. After that the cat owner showed Max’s mother which had seven toes one the front paws which made her paws enormous. I would like to include that Max has six toes on his front paws which is a lot! If you want my advice cats when their young there adorable. I felt excited to bring Max home with us.

"The Year of the Rat" character By: Hailey

In the beginning of the story, Pacy felt doubtful if she should become an author and illustrator. But after she talks to her dad she finds steadiness and confidence. She starts to feel the luck and bravery of the tiger. Her personality or character changes gradually and slowly but noticeably. In the start of the story it seems that Pacy is hesitant but as the story goes on she changes. In the end she is determined and knows that she can follow her dreams if it is really what she wants. So through the story she goes from unsure and hesitant to determined and confident.

MY FAVORITE PLACE by Ashlynn My favorite place is my room because in my room I can relax and rest , I can also draw and listen to music on my Alexa . In my room I can play games on my tablet I can also call my friends and play games .I can play with my toys in my room and my toys are in my wonderful desk that my notebook is on and I draw on my notebook .My other favorite place is the playground in my neighborhood . It's one of my favorite places because I can relax on a swing or the bench . I can use my energy on climbing the monkey bars and the rope .I can practice my balance on the donut , the donut is a spinning circle and it looks like it has sprinkles on it because when you walk on it it spins so you need grip to stay balanced on it when it spins so that's why I call it a donut .I can also practice my balance on the spinning steps at the playground . Those are my favorite places.

This is like kind of a mini story . (Present Time) (The names are supposed to be spelled like that.) The kitten still hadn’t arrived, but we had some guests come over! (In September) It was my best friend and her family. Sandasi had a little sister, Nilesi, and an older sister, Minesi. Their dad saw that Luka wasn’t a boy at all! LUKA WAS A GIRL ALL ALONG! I was overjoyed! But I didn’t know if we should keep the name Luka. But it is kind of a both gender name. So we kept Luka! Luka is now almost 3 months old! The 31st of this month, she is 3 months old. She has grown A LOT.
