Tom went home exhausted at 8.00 pm every day. Tom's parents would bring the family down to a special shop where there was a person telling all the people what was happening in Ireland and other countries. That day's news was about an assassination that happened which started a thing called World War1

Tom was sent by his parents to save the country. He was fighting on the front line. He wondered why his parents were making him do this. He didn’t like it. He only liked learning about wars but he never wanted to fight in one. He was fighting when he was shot in the head. He died a day later. His parents were really sad and they regretted sending him to the army. THE END.

One day there was a boy named Tom he was an ordinary child except he really liked learning about previous wars. It was his birthday on the 18/3/1914

At school, he would leave all his other classes and go to see if there was a history class on. There would be classes every day, for History Week about the war.
