e-Twinning project 2022-2023
INTRODUCTION
Our project is about the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on European teenagers’ lives (social relations, activities, education, educational choices, use of social media and digital tools, vision of the future and society).
Teenagers from different European countries are expected to show and discuss the effects the pandemic had on their lives and the challenges they had to face. They will also take a special interest in the part played by the EU in the control and the management of the pandemic.
Four schools are involved in this project :
-1-Toulouse Lautrec Middle School, LANGON, France

Competences and skills the pupils will gain through this project :
The project is aimed at developing skills that are necessary in everyday life : language skills, social skills, learn to learn, initiative spirit and cultural skills.

Our pupils will communicate authentically. They will have to discuss about an unprecedent crisis they all went through and they will learn about the consequences it had on the lives of people their age in other European countries. They will also learn about the way this crisis was dealt with in different European countries and they will be able to draw comparisons. In the meanwhile, they will discover new countries and new ways of lives and they will become more enlightened citizens.

This type of project should motivate them and it will help them learn from one another (peer learning).

It will also encourage their creativity as they will have to make a comic and Break The News videos and do some creative writing.
They will also learn how to use new digital tools.

This project will inevitably make learning meaningful. It will develop team-building skills, mobilize collective intelligence and give our pupils digital skills incredibly useful for their future working lives.
How the different partner schools have chosen to work :
We have chosen to work on six different themes. The different groups’ work is gradually put on the pages of the TwinSpace and then added here in this book.
We spend about three weeks on a theme.

The different tasks are shared between different groups in each class involved.

The teachers communicate by e-mail (E-twinning group) or on WhatsApp. They also have online meetings.
How responsibilities are shared :
Each teacher as well as the pupils enabled to administrate the TwinSpace can edit the pages and download documents.
Only the teachers can edit the e-book on Book Creator. The pupils can do it in class only and they are supervised by their teachers.
BEFORE STARTING
Before starting our work, we asked parents to complete a consent form for photographs and footage.
Taking, keeping and publishing photographs and video footage involves processing personal data under data protection laws.

Then, we taught the pupils how to host their videos on the schools' Youtube channels and how to protect their personal data.

Finally, we informed pupils about the notion of NETIQUETTE.

They watched a video and made wordclouds afterwards.
