By Aoibheann ByrneChapter 1 The Call
At six o'clock in the morning Ciara was getting ready in her bedroom for work. She lived in London and owned a small flat there. She looked in the mirror at her beautiful silky, golden brown hair and her plump face with rosy cheeks. She was wearing her navy police uniform on her muscular, broad and athletic body. Ten minutes later she locked her door, went down the stairs and started driving to work. While she was driving her phone rang. It was Gerry the chief policeman. He said that he found something on CCTV.
“We noticed three men in black with sacks”. “They were robbing the ATM beside Tesco in Woodford it is estimated that they stole just over three hundred thousand pounds” said Gerry. "Ok I’ll get there as soon as I can" Ciara answered. Ten minutes later she arrived at Hawthorn lane prison. It was a gigantic gloomy yellow building. The pocket sized windows were barred up and the door looked ancient and unkept.
She strode confidently into the dark, dull prison. As she walked in she saw Gerry filing documents. “Good morning” he beamed waving his hand at her. “Hi” she replied “could you show me that clip of CCTV please” “of course” said Gerry. They both paced calmly into the side office. He played the clip. Just as Gerry had mentioned there were three men in black with sack on there backs. “We need to track them down” “we will” he replied. “We’ll start tomorrow” he suggested “sounds good" Ciara mumbled.
Chapter 2
The problem
The problem
The next day Ciara got ready and drove to the prison. Gerry was there in the side office doing some work. “Hi” she mumbled “Hey” he replied “ok let’s get started”. So over time they slowly identified the people and went out to search for them. In the CCTV clip there was a car, and the robbers didn’t hide the registration number so Ciara and Gerry could track them down.
Gerry contacted the motorway CCTV team and told them the reg number. They asked the team did they see the car and they said that they did. Now it was much easier for Ciara and Gerry to track them down. Two days later the two men were in Woodford prison but the next day one broke out. This really was a never ending problem
It turns out that the one who broke out, Dave aged 39 from Avelstown, London snuck a phone into the prison and was contacting friends and making plans to break out. This was just making it much harder for Ciara and Gerry. They had already gathered enough information to track him down.
Chapter 3
A Wild Goose Chase
A Wild Goose Chase
So that night Gerry and Ciara went to his house which was in Cherrytree road, Avelstown, London and watched quietly for about an hour. Until suddenly They heard a bang. Dave had tried to sneak out his garden when he saw the officers. This was going to be like a wild goose chase.
So they sped through the house and garden, jumped over the fence and started chasing him. Gerry's sort jet black hair was blowing in the wind and Ciara's slick, neat bun was slowly falling out of place. They could see Dave in the distance as he was entering the park. Suddenly Dave tripped and before he could get up Ciara and Dave were behind him with handcuffs in their hands. He put up his hands and said "No please I'm innocent" with fear in his voice.
