My weekend
Me and my handball team went to Reykjavík for one night to play two handball matches. Well, my team played two and the team above us. They are 2-4 years older than me and also played two. We couldn't find a hotel so we had to pack mattresses and sleep in a school, which I was fine with but most of the girls weren’t happy, especially the girls in the team above.
On Friday, I packed my stuff and made sure I had our harpix, because I’m the person in the team that guards the harpix and makes sure we have it every practice and every game. Harpix is the glue we use for our balls to make it easier to throw and catch.
Early the next morning we took the bus to Reykjavík. The ride was fine except my friend threw up, which was disgusting. We arrived an hour before the match so we didn’t have a lot of time to get ready. Our first game was against Fram. Fram is not really a good team and we got an easy win 17-30.

I played the last few minutes and scored one goal, but we lost 31-27 also against Fram. After the game we went to the school that we were staying in, unpacked our stuff and ordered food.I woke up in the middle of the night and my face was all wet, and I had no idea why. I realized that I was right under a window that was open and it was snowing in. For some reason I just went back to sleep without moving my mattress somewhere else, so I woke up several times that night because of the snow.

We ended up driving half way back to Akureyri and we are now staying at a hotel called Laugarbakki. We will head home early in the morning but there is no way we will be able to attend school tomorrow, which is fine by me.
Overall the trip was great, I got to know the older girls a lot more which is great because I will be playing a lot with them this season. I wish we could’ve won FH but there will be other games, so we keep going.
