Summary

Adeline Larue, a 23 year old French woman has been promised to a man she would never marry. She has been praying, offering her most valuable possessions to the gods, seeking a way out of the life of suppression she would be forced to. One night, she recieves an answer. Against the wishes of her elderly spiritual mentor, Estelle, Addie accepts the god's deal. However, this god is not merciful, she has been bound to a curse. Since she will not willingly continue her chosen life, the young woman must now be forced to live hundreds of others, each one forgotten- erased from existence. Addie must discover how she can make an impression on each life even as memories of her are lost forever. After 300 years, she has finally learned how to live without existing. Until one day, everything changes.
