The Da Vinci Code
Synopsis and Recommendation
Robert Langdon, a symbologist and professor at Harvard, and Sophie Neveu try to figure out the secrets behind an ancient conspiracy and society. Using Da Vinci's artwork and clues left by Sophie's grandfather, the two travel around France and England searching for answers. They are chased by the police, who believe Robert is a murderer; Opus Dei, a Church with intentions of finding the source of the conspiracy and destroying it; and the Teacher, the mastermind behind the search for the Holy Grail. The novel uses architecture, history, and symbols to solve various puzzles. Sophie and Langdon must find the Holy Grail before Opus Dei and the Teacher while avoiding the police.

This book is a great option to read whenever you have the chance. It attaches the reader through interesting and enjoyable character development, and it also encourages the reader to keep on reading by introducing fascinating historical information along with a storyline that is filled with surprising cliffhangers.
